07/02/10
Away v Winkfield Sports
1-3

Berks & Bucks Cup 4thRnd

After the previous weeks game was called off due to a frozen pitch, DC turned up with several first team players missing and despite giving a determined performance, failed to progress to the 5th round. This possibly a blessing in disguise. Playing downhill in the first half, DC failed to take the advantage and conceded 3 soft goals to go in at half time facing a literal uphill battle in the second half. Burt came on for Gary at the start of the second half and proved to be a thorn in Winkfields side. He scored midway through the second half with a decent turn and shot. DC worked their socks off although were unable to create any other clear cut chances.

DC came away with less than they deserved after matching the Wokingham side in an even game. A early second half strike sealed DC's defeat when an opposition goal kick was allowed to bounce to Wokingham player who blinding knocked it over head head between Matt and Neil. With Craig narrowing the angle the striker slotted the ball into the net.

21/02/10
Away v Warwick Arms
4-1

League

Celebrating their 25th Anniversary, DC took a while to get into their stride and eventually took the lead through Owen. Warwick were not behind for very long and equalised with a well taken curling effort. The Steamers were dominating the game and continued to press forward and carve out chance after chance but to no avail until Jenson scored late on in the first half to make it 2-1. Owen made it 3-1 in what appeared to be turning into a one-sided game with a fantastic control, turn and shot. Steve Bell sealed the win late on latching onto a through ball and despatching it past the keeper.

Starting XI:
Subs
Ref
O'Neill; Knight, Danby, Pitkin, Sprackling; Barker, P.Kulpa, Bell, Temple; Langford, Langthorne
Fookes, Taylor, Entract
O McPhee (80)
