DC finished the 2009\10 season
in third place after squandering a great chance for automatic
promotion. With 5-6 games in hand over teams around them,
the Steamers went on a 4 game drawing run.
A last minute goal for Aura direct
from a corner and a last minute penalty miss for the Steamers
against Warwick Arms in consecutive games all but ended
their automatic chances.
The final game of the season
guaranteed third place with a win over bottom side Southfield
meanwhile Warwick beat Polish and Loxwood also won which
made the Steamers win necessary.

March 9th 2010
Division Two East are now down
two teams as Valley Park Rangers and Woodley Saints Reserves
followed Cubin Linkz' suit and folded. Fortunately for
DC, only 3 points were deducted from their league record
(win over Valley Park) whilst other teams were not so
lucky and have lost close to double figures removed.
Steamers are starting to get
back into the swing of things now and apart from a non
deserved defeat at Wokingham and Emmbrook, wins against
Warwick Arms and Loxwood Park Rangers have left DC well
in touch with the top 3 teams with games in hand.
